Classes are on summer break for now.
Liz is hoping to restart a community class in the autumn. There are also some private class slots available starting in mid-September (in and around Oxford).
In the meantime check out this piece on ‘the best books about yoga’ that I was asked to choose on 5books.com.

In 1997 I found myself in an ashtanga yoga class taught by Danny Paradise. This was a powerful experience, and, inspired by a week of classes with Danny, I started a regular practice of ashtanga yoga.
This led me to Mysore, India, and from 2001-2010 I was fortunate to spent long periods studying with Sri K Pattabhi Jois and R Sharath. In Mysore I also had the chance to study yoga philosophy with Acarya Sankaranarayana Jois.
I received Pattabhi Jois’s blessing to teach and the Level 2 Authorization in 2004. From 2004-2015 I taught classes and workshops all over Europe and SE Asia. During this time I also had the opportunity to study with other yoga teachers, notably Srivatsa Ramaswami and Paddy McGrath.
In 2001 I started a vipassana meditation practice, first in the Goenka tradition, and more recently with Sayadaw U Tejaniya in Myanmar and Luang Por Pramote in Thailand.
I am now based in Oxford and, after a break as I settled back into life here, it has made me very happy to come back to teaching yoga again.
In teaching I aim to honour the essence of what has been taught to me, and to use the knowledge I have gained to support students in developing and maintaining an individual practice appropriate to their circumstances. Different things work at different times, and I aim to teach the individual – whether we are in a group or private class. At the same time, as a yoga instructor, I feel it is also important to remember that it is the student’s own practice that is the real teacher over time.
I feel very blessed to be able to share what I know with other yoga students and will always be grateful to the above-mentioned teachers, and offer my profound thanks to them. Other teachers to whom I offer my heartfelt thanks are Ramesh Balsekar, Lino Miele, Gwendoline Hunt, Hamish Hendry, Peter Sanson, Mariella de Martini, Rolf Naujokat and Sathya Sai Baba. And, of course all my students… Much love and big thanks also to my family.
